Chapter Sixteen
"Aw, Mama…stop pouting!" Carly wailed. "You'll see Stefan tomorrow. For now forget about him. And focus on me, okay?"
Paying no mind to how selfish her demand sounded, Carly continued on. Raking her hand through her hair, she sucked in a sharp breath, causing her nostrils to flare--a sure indicator she was losing her patience.
"Look, there's gonna be photographers everywhere, and the last thing I need is pictures of me hugging you…looking like you belong in a funeral procession because your face is so long, alright!" she snapped.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Jax motioning for her.
"Look it's almost time, I gotta go."
She gave Bobbie a quick, lifeless kiss on the cheek then darted off towards Jax.
