Chapter Fifteen
Pausing before the mirror-lined wall, she smoothed the shimmery fabric down over her curvaceous frame and wondered for the briefest of moments if the slinky creation was just a bit too much.
Ever so briefly, her gaze connected with that of a strapping, sandy-haired gentleman zooming by. As she bore witness to his hungry, appraising gaze, she knew it was just right.
"You do know," the masculine voice calling out from behind reminded her, "if Amy Vining is here, before you set foot on the sidewalk, half the city will know about it, right?"
"I'm counting on it," she grinned. "I'm so glad you made it back!" She launched herself into his arms.
"Are you kidding? I wouldn't miss this for the world. I just wish I could be there when you drop the boom. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were gonna enjoy this as much as I am," Justus Ward commented.
"See, that's where you're wrong," she laughed, looping her arm in her cousin's. "I'm gonna enjoy it more." She paused, allowing the thunderous sounds of the celebration from within to die down.
"Way more!"
