Ex-Factor

Chapter Eleven

''Why must you bring Laura into this?'' he sighed.

''Because she's been ‘in’ it since day one,'' she replied evenly. ''Granted, I'm not a mother, still I do feel for her over the loss of her son, Lucky.'' Pausing to cup Stefan's face within her palms once again, her voice softened. ''And I feel even more for Nikolas. I know how much he loved his brother. Still....''

      ''Sabryn....'' Stefan warned.

''It does not,'' she continued on, ''excuse that woman's shameless ploys. C'mon, Stefan, the woman's not above using her very own son's grief to draw you in!'' Sabrina fumed.

''I assure you Laura is not trying to ‘draw me in’ by using Nikolas!'' Stefan scoffed. ''She has hurt him far too much in the past. I would never allow such a thing to happen.''

''Your son is hurting, Stefan. And it's just like my Nana told me, when your child is in pain, trust me, you're blind to everything else but one thing—making your baby's pain go away. And that is exactly what Laura is counting on.''

      ''Sabrina, I assure you...''

''No!'' she cut him off. ''Don't 'assure' me...you had best assure yourself, Stefan!'' Inhaling deeply, Sabrina fought to reign in her temper. ''Tell me, when is that cute little Leslie Lu returning to Wyndemere for another ‘tea party’ with Nikolas?''

''It is not as you think, Sabrina,'' Stefan sighed. ''The request was made by Nikolas,'' he explained.

Closing her eyes tightly, Sabrina was gritting her teeth so hard she felt as if her jaw would break. ''And who do you think planted the idea in Nikolas' mind, Stefan?!'' she bit out.

''Sabrina, this discussion is getting us nowhere,'' Stefan reasoned. ''I fail to see what it is you think you believe Laura wants—''

''I'm a woman, Stefan. Trust me...oh, I know what she wants, my love. You. Hot. Hard. And between her legs!'' Sabrina ground out.
