Chapter Six

      When no response from either side was forthcoming, both parties began to retreat to opposite sides of the room, each leveling dagger-like stares at the other as they stormed away. Realizing he would get nowhere in this war of wills, Stefan decided to go on the offensive.

      His stride purposeful and determined, a hint of a smile emanating from his emerald-green eyes, he quickly crossed the room. Upon reaching Sabrina, Stefan leaned forward, strategically bracing his arms on either side of her, effectively barring any chance of retreat. So close were their bodies pressed together, the only thing between them was time and opportunity. Both of which Stefan was determined to work to his advantage.

      ''What....,'' Sabrina began suspiciously, ''are you doing?''

      His breath warm against her ear, he whispered, ''As you instructed.'' Leaning in closer, he allowed his lips to slowly, teasingly trail along her ear, continuing on until he reached that oh-so-sensitive area behind her ear. ''Making myself useful.''

      A satisfied smile played about Stefan's lips as he felt Sabrina's body instinctively arch against him.
